How we use cookies
This page lists everything this website stores in your browser, what each item does, and which ones you control. You can change your choices at any time with the link (also in the page footer).
Essential: always on
These make the site work. They are set only when you use the feature they belong to, and the law does not require consent for them because the service you asked for cannot be provided without them.
| Item | What it does | Set when |
|---|---|---|
p60-consent | Remembers the cookie choices you make here, so we don't ask on every visit. | You make a choice in the cookie banner. |
| Sign-in session cookies | Keep you signed in to the members area after you sign in with your Port60 ID. | You choose to sign in. |
| Payment provider cookies (Stripe, Braintree, GoCardless) | Fraud prevention and the bank security checks (3-D Secure) that the law requires for online payments. A donation or ticket purchase cannot be processed safely, or lawfully, without them. | You start a donation or ticket purchase. |
p60-articles-anon / p60-articles-viewed | A random ID with no personal information, used only so article likes aren't counted twice and views count once per day. It does not identify you or follow you to other sites. | You read or like an article. |
Analytics: your choice
With your permission, Port60 Review Charity uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used , which pages help, where visitors get stuck, so it can be improved. Nothing loads unless you say yes.
Marketing, your choice
With your permission, Port60 Review Charity measures whether its campaigns work (for example, whether an appeal shared on social media led to support) using tools from Meta and Google, and remembers for the rest of your visit which campaign brought you here. This choice also lets embedded videos load automatically; without it, videos show a preview and load only when you press play. Nothing loads unless you say yes.
Emails are separate
Choosing marketing cookies here never signs you up to emails. Port60 Review Charity only emails you marketing if you tick the separate, unticked box where your email is collected, and every such email includes an unsubscribe link that works without an account.
